about us
As a child Josephine-Rose dreamt of owning and creating her own label.
Josephine-Rose Collection bloomed from the appeal of the colourful coast of Southern Italy in the 1970s. The designer is named after both her Italian grandmothers Nonna Rosa and Nonna Giuseppina who are her style icons, her Nonna Rosa for the Barbies clothes she would make and her Nonna Giuseppina for ability to look stylish while embracing colour.
Her 2020 graduate collection ‘had me @ hello’ was inspired by all things fun, flirty, quirky, and of course colourful. The bubbly fun personality of the brand is embodied in the garments with bold prints and statement colours. Words
of affirmation and self-worth flourish amongst the women who wear
Josephine-Rose. Everything is produced and made in South Australia, from the
sketch to the physical garment.
As a Slow Fashion and made-to-order label, Josephine-Rose Collection limits the impact of overproduction and overconsumption common in the fashion industry. In the celebration of uniqueness and individuality each garment is made in small, limited-edition quantities.
Production is monitored to ensure all excess fabric finds a new home, and all garments are made ethically. Fabrics are sourced, mainly in Australia with a focus on high
quality knits, cottons and crepe fabrics.
First known for the iconic ‘had me @ hello’ pom pom jacket from her original graduate collection, Josie-Rose Bucket Hats and All-Over-Me under-bust corsets have become a hit with women of all shapes, ages and sizes.
I cannot wait to see what
the future holds for us.
So, follow me along my
journey to be bright and colourful ALWAYS.
Big Love,
JRose Xx
